Now he is carrying on his family tradition and looking forward to life after the pandemic when he and his staff can put on a party every weekend for their valued guests. Brannoin approaches his life and work with a zest that radiates from within. His natural ease with people and dedication to a job well done makes Brannoin and the future of “The Rainbow” bright.

How do you contribute to the culture of your company?
We are in the party and event business. Our goal is to create a fun and exciting atmosphere. Knowing what the end goal is, it’s easy to bring that attitude behind the scenes.

What are you doing to make a difference in your community?
The nature of our business is to bring people together and leave them with memories. People who walk through our doors are looking to experience a celebration that will be talked about forever. It is important to show them the best experience possible.

What is the single most important characteristic for success?
Passion and love for the “people experience” is the secret to success.

What important lesson have you learned in your career?
Anything is possible! If you combine hard work, a vision, and surround yourself with positive and forward-thinking people, the sky is the limit.

What is your dream job?
The true and cliché answer is, I’m living it.

How has COVID-19 impacted you professionally and personally? What are you doing differently?
We are in the people gathering business where love is in the air, but so is COVID. We have taken a huge hit because people have not been allowed to gather. However, over our slow winter season we decided to open as a restaurant. This has been a great path to increase revenue.

What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
In 2018 we began building our newest venue, Brookside Barn. It was a large investment but the community has always supported our businesses. We sincerely value every individual who has planned a party with us or simply bought a beer from us. The North Country is home to some wonderful people!

What is something that no one would guess about you?
I have scrubbed my fair share of dishes, which is my favorite job to do for the simple reason I can turn off all the stresses that come with running a business and see that task being accomplished in real time.
