The 30th annual edition of the largest business-to-business event in the North Country is coming up quickly! This year’s Business Expo will take place on Thursday, June 7th at the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House and, once again, it will be the business event of the year in our region and everyone should take full advantage.
Business Expo will feature 165 booths full of up-to-date product and service information offered by a wide variety of businesses and organizations. It is, if you think about it, the most efficient and effective few hours you can spend in one place, learning about various things which may help your business and making up-to-date contacts. Suppliers, office equipment and products, insurance, financial services, employment and recruitment support, training programs, catering and travel, legal services, manufacturers, real estate, consultants and on and on. It seems almost impossible that any attendee could leave the show without at least one valuable new contact or piece of information, and likely many such benefits.
And then there’s the networking. With up to 2,000 business people attending over the course of the day, you can meet many old and new contacts during your visit to the show and use the networking area in the center for conversations and meetings.
Exhibiting is an extraordinary once-a-year opportunity for visibility and connections. And there may be a few spaces left so contact Jody Parks at the North Country Chamber at (518) 563-1000 for more information. Also, there is a special benefit to being an exhibitor which is exclusive access to the show from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, allowing interaction with the many other participants before it opens to the entire business community. This period will again also include our popular Speed Networking Session in the center area, with a fun and fast interaction with all other exhibitors. Again, 10:00 -12:00 is for exhibitors only.
Then from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m., Business Expo is open to everyone. A modest $5 admission charge is requested with proceeds supporting the Chamber’s small business services. No business or organization in the area should miss sending someone to take advantage. And if possible, consider sending multiple people over the course of the afternoon. General Managers, Office Managers, HR people, Procurement and Sales people will all get different benefits from the displays and networking and each can bring value back to your operation.
This year’s Business Expo is made possible in part by the generous support of our major sponsors: Agency Insurance, Twinstate Technologies, Community Bank, The Sun, ETS, WFFF-Fox 44 and WVNY-ABC 22. Free coffee is available all day in the networking area thanks to La Quinta Inns and Suites.
