Where Are They Now? Allen Racine

Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer; Community Bank NA Allen was born and raised in the North Country, left for a brief time to attend Cornell University and then returned. When we last spoke with him he was a commercial lender at Glens Falls National Bank. Earlier this year Allen took advantage of an opportunity to join Community Bank NA. “It was a tough decision,” he said. “I’d been at GFNB for almost 13 years and am grateful for all I learned.”

When Allen isn’t at work, he is involved with his community and family; wife Nichole and two daughters, ages 11 and 15. He was recently elected to the Northeastern Clinton Central School Board of Education. In addition, he is active in the Clinton Community College Foundation and The Development Corporation.

Allen’s advice for newcomers in the financial services industry, “Do your existing job well. In doing so, you will build a good reputation and that can lead to your next opportunity. Don’t be afraid to push out of your comfort zone. That’s how you know you are growing.” What we saw in 2012 remains just as vivid today. Allen Racine is one to watch in the North Country.
